Creative Industry
Night #3
Our special guests included Australia's leading casting agent Faith Martin (whose credits include: Peter Pan, The Sum of Us, Strictly Ballroom, The Crossing, television specials, television series, and international TVCs) who shared some of her wisdom gained over many years working with the biggest names in the film industry. Her message was one of hope. She was fantastically motivating and the warm applause was testament to her strength, vitality and generosity.
The lunatic DarkSide graced our stage again [he appeared at Creative Industry Night #2], this time appearing with comrade-in-arms Smooth Jaymz , presenting their own peculiar brand of comedy, Screaming Wet Santa.

Stand-up comedian and improviser extraordinaire Adam Gelin also appeared guitar in hand, to tell the heartfelt story of his mother and her... um, interesting occupation. He brought the audience to it's knees with his tale of a fragmented life, and the challenges faced when dealing with the opposite sex. Truly hilarious!
To seal an excellent night's entertainment, the supremely talented musician and film composer Lisa McIntosh brought to the Arthouse some wonderful and dynamic original music. Her passion and warmth flowed off the stage through her music, and the audience's applause reflected the intoxicating effects of her magnificent performance.
All in all it was a magnificent evening. A great time was had by all. The audience was greatly appreciative of the fantastic talent of our guest artists, and grateful for the inspiring message of Faith Martin.
Artistic Director of merelyplayers, Bryan Cutts, couldn't have been happier.
Another Creative Industry Night success! |
