John studied formal acting at Ryerson University, Canada's most respected acting school before getting himself thrown out and into a career in comedy. Since then, he has created and performed in theatre shows including The Bouncing Sheep - a Canadian university circuit favourite, Gods Cowboys - musical meat-worshipping evangelist trio, IMPROZAC - an improvised TV hospital soap parody, OfficeJerks, OH BROTHER! - an improvised Big Brother parody, Theatresports® and Cops On Heat - the improvised TV Police Show spoof and hit of the 2002 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He is half of The Guys With Cameras On Their Heads - Super-hero Camera-headed comedy duo with comedian and writer Steve Walsh. He has acted on many Australian television shows and commercials including his simpleton character as featured on 'The Footy Show' episode where he drove footballer Mark Geyer to distraction in a candid camera type hoax. John is a writer and reviewer for various magazines and newspapers. His own company, Solid Lines Creative performs a number of corporate event entertainment shows including IMPRO-BZERKO - a fast and furious impro sketch pub show, OfficeJerks and Hard Boiled - an improvised film noir detective show. John sings in the funky a cappella choir Alchemy and when not being entertained by his beautiful baby girl Lily, he occasionally finds time to play his beloved harmonica and spend time dreaming up new projects with his lovely and talented wife, Ronelle.
