Sue Cartledge has been a journalist for over 20 years, and a writer since the age of 10, when she nnounced she was going to be a playwright.  

Plays, however, are not  her forte - she has  one unpublished novel, and is
currently working on three others.  Some  have developed from short stories, a genre she's been exploring for some time.

"My short stories keep getting longer, even the ones that don't turn into novels."

Ten years ago Sue self-published two tiny poetry collections - &  and @ , and has been published in two anthologies of the Society of Women Writers (Tas) - Ferlinghetti's Pyjamas and Beached.  She  writes poetry, "to see what's going on in my subconscious."
