theatre production, 'beginner at Life' receives rave reviews.
The Austalian
Premiere of the powerful one-woman show beginner at
Life, was a huge success! This production, which ran in
October 2008 is the premiere production outside of America.
Reviews will be posted here soon... the critics loved it!
This show written by Alana Ruben Free, sold
out at the 2007 Mamapalooza Festival in New York; and the local
production was critically acclaimed.
Beginner at Life explores the
passage from physical, emotional, and spiritual alienation to
wholeness, specifically through the prisms of overcoming anorexia,
post-partum depression, and religious fundamentalism.
Auditions were held in Sydney, and the director, Bryan
Cutts, has selected accompished actor Donna Brooks as the star
of this powerful production.
